Omega Beta Iota

Omega Beta Iota, the National Osteopathic Political Advocacy Honor Society, was founded in 2007 to help highlight and emphasize the important service that osteopathic medical students provide to the U.S. political system. Induction into OBI is an honorary recognition for politically active medical students and professional mentors who demonstrate excellence in healthcare politics. Members of this society demonstrate excellence in healthcare politics by taking leadership roles, supporting grassroots activism, participating in political events, and also putting their knowledge and skills to the test by attending the American Osteopathic Association's "DO Day" on Capitol Hill each year.
